The company uses an on-site “Micro Transmitter” to broadcast over a specified FM frequency to the car radio of potential visiting tenants. When the drivers tune their radio to the designated frequency (usually broadcasting from the business office), these potential tenants hear information while in their cars about the apartment complex they’re considering–including descriptions of floor plans, amenities, availability, qualifications, business office hours and other selling points.
