Unique Project Launched: Online Game Encourages Real Life Accomplishments

Kansas City, KS, October 2, 2008. Farigo club launched an online game that rewards members for real life activities, and encourages people to spend more time away from passive entertainment.

As Internet increases in popularity, many youngsters and adults become absorbed in an online world, devoting less time with families and making fewer real life accomplishments. Technology advancements make video games and virtual life projects an attractive alternative to real life. The increasing number of pathological gamers and Internet-a-holics are becoming a major social concern.

In response to this situation Farigo Club launched an online project encouraging people to expand, find adventures in real life, get appreciation, become stronger, and live life. Farigo members spend little time on the website - just to get rewarded for real life activities and to take on new missions.

Farigo is an open International Club for Adventure and Appreciation, established June 22, 2001, in Central Pennsylvania. The objective of this community is to assist its members in undertaking good-spirited endeavors. On September 29, 2008, Farigo opened its website and launched its online project.

UNlearn Vanilla Marriage

August 9th, 2008

Richard Woods, author of UnLEARN! Because Life Can Make You Stupid! partnered with the folks at Swingfest, the nation’s largest swingers convention, to offer his seminar .

Hollywood, Florida, August 1, 2008: The inaugural Swingfest event on the East Coast of Florida lived up to be a Lifestyler’s institution for years to come. Already the world’s largest swinger’s convention, it boasts a variety of unique features, which includes having been held at the luxurious Westin Diplomat Beachfront Resort and Spa.

Recognizing that the Swingers and other secular lifestylers have many interests, and a general yearning for knowledge, the folks at Swingfest provided (among other things) a variety of seminars for their varied clientele. Their commitment to serving the needs of their patrons may have been their most impressive attribute.

“The crowd was amazing, they were absolutely rocking”, said Woods, “A convention like this is perfect for speakers, because no matter what you’re presenting, there are enough people in attendance who will be interested in your subject and they’ll fill your room. The group who came to see me was by far the most responsive I have had to date.” Competing with perfect weather, and a pool full of enthusiasts, Woods’ seminar titled “UnLEARN Vanilla marriage (for more info go to www.unlearnnow.com) still managed to draw a terrific crowd. “There were a lot of people who were new to the Lifestyle, and some others who came to Swingfest who were merely curious. I couldn’t have asked for a better demographic.”

Unlearn! maintains that if you want to make a real change in your life, you must be honest with yourself., and get off the self-help merry-go-round. People need to unlearn much of the ideology that was ingrained since childhood and reinforced by the self-hurt industry, particularly when it concerns marriage and monogamy.

Cartoon launches Shropshire’s Face book for the over 30s!

May 20th, 2008

It was with a heavy heart that Jill Mytton, local Shropshire based entrepreneur returned from a meeting with Ben Way, Internet millionaire and former participant in the channel 4 programme “The Secret Millionaire” in London in January 2007. Ben heads up an innovation venture company called the Rainmakers www.makingrain.com and has extensive experience of developing the software and systems to run profitable web sites. He had told Jill that a minimum of £250,000 was required to develop a fully functional social networking web site, money Jill simply didn’t have but his parting comment was,” You can always purchase some generic software and then customise it for a much lower cost”. Being a techie novice, not ideal for someone who wants to launch an innovative networking web site, she realised that finding the right software, which could then be tailored, to fit would be the only answer.

Jill had set herself the goal of creating an online social networking membership site, free from annoying advertising and aimed specifically at the 30 plus market who although internet users were being left behind by sites aimed at younger markets. The name of the site www.confidentlife.com was a positive choice as Jill, felt so many people in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s hate the stigma of the middle aged, over the hill stereotype and she wanted to create a space that was upbeat, lively and showed that you did not have to be under 30 to have fun! The initial site was a brochure site and the network was run offline by arranging monthly meetings for members, in 2006 an e-commerce section was added to enable members to purchase tickets for events and membership online. However, Jill still had the vision of developing a fully functional social networking site and the launch of MySpace and Facebook showed there was a market for this kind of experience but without the budgets of those companies she was still no nearer her goal.

At the end of 2007 Jill spent several weeks researching the development of social networking software and finally found a software package from the USA that she felt could be used as the base of the new www.confidentlife.com site. With fantastic support from her web developer, Nigel Boulton of Shrewsbury based Pink Digital Limited www.pinkdigital.co.uk they worked together to customise and refine this software into Jill’s original vision for the site. At times, Jill says “It was like wrestling a snake and everything took longer than imagined, but finally the site is up and fully operational.”

The idea is to build a real dynamic community online and also promote events and meetings offline which members can attend. We are not a dating site although since 2005 we have had couples meet through us, but it has happened naturally in the same way you meet people at work or through friends. “We have taken a gamble by having paid membership and not relying on advertising revenue but as we are small we need to build our membership slowly on a local basis and prove the model before we think about promoting the network on a national level. I also feel if you do pay for a service you want the security of not being bombarded with advertising banners and you certainly need the security of knowing your personal details will not be accessed in any way by third parties.”

It is early days but Jill really hopes that people like the concept and will use the site as an opportunity to extend their social circle quickly and easily and in a fun way. Jill remarks, “That is why we came up with the idea of a cartoon to get the message over that networking on the internet can be a great way of making new friends. We want to make people smile and then get them to visit the site.”
