Online legal advice on the rise due to bogus debt management crackdown

April 21st, 2009

Following February’s reports that the Office of Fair Trading and the Ministry of Justice have launched an official crackdown on the recent “rash” of bogus television adverts from claims management firms featuring misleading statements, lawyers at Net Lawman have seen a noticeable increase in the number of enquiries for their Expert Legal Advice service, as people search for ways to gain accurate legal advice without the hefty price tag.

Miriam Taylor, spokesperson for Net Lawman says that whilst there are a number of charities available to offer advice and support, many people want the added reassurance of speaking to a legal expert who fully understands the process and any possible actions that their debtors could take.

“Many people are desperate to speak to a legal expert about their situation but in the current climate, most cannot afford to pay the fees for a high street solicitor to see them. We have created our Expert Legal Advice service to help people obtain reliable and accurate legal advice from the comfort of their home and for about a third of the cost of a high street solicitor,” says Taylor.

Net Lawman’s Expert Legal Advice service by e-mail is a ‘pay as you go’ service that enables the user to pay for credits of time, allowing them to retain full control of the expense of any legal advice obtained.  The team can advise on almost any legal subject and all responses are provided by e-mail, usually within 24 hours. The team can also draw letters and other legal documents and legal agreements as part of the service if required.

“Our Expert Legal Advice service is a great way to gain a greater understanding of your position and the various options available to you. It is important to remember that you may need further, more detailed support as you carry your case forward and we cannot advise you on aspects you do not advise us about, so it is important to express your problem as clearly as possible from the onset,” advises Taylor.

Solicitors use the web to boost sales during crunch

January 6th, 2009

Diss, Norfolk, UK, January 6, 2009 – With the credit crunch continuing to impact businesses across the globe, legal draftsmen are being given a golden opportunity to gain valuable additional income as well as demonstrate their specialist knowledge by selling their documents through leading online legal document provider Net Lawman.

The recently re-branded Net Lawman is offering legal professionals across a number of jurisdictions the opportunity to earn up to 30% royalties on any of their documents sold through the Net Lawman site (www.netlawman.co.uk), which attracts small to medium enterprises looking for cost effective, professional legal documents, as well as legal professionals looking for specialist documents.

This new opportunity will enable legal draftsmen to earn additional income from their documents, become leaders in their specialist fields and increase their brand awareness, reputation and credibility – factors which Net Lawman believe are crucial to surviving the economic downturn.

“In order to stay ahead in the current climate, you need to be able to demonstrate your specialism and establish a niche for yourself. Being different is increasingly more important than being ‘the best’ and being able to show that your documents have been purchased by hundreds of customers will certainly be testament to your skill and expertise”, explains Miriam Taylor of Net Lawman.

“And what makes this opportunity even more attractive is that selling documents through Net Lawman is completely risk free. You will have drawn the documents for Net Lawman not the end user and so we take full responsibility and ask for no indemnity in return”, says Taylor.

Net Lawman is the UK’s leading online legal document providers for documents relating to England and Wales. The company recently expanded its offering into Scotland, Ireland, Australia, India, South Africa and New Zealand and now plans to open a site for every English speaking jurisdiction as the demand for online legal documents continues to rise.

“The Internet is increasingly becoming the first port of call for businesses looking for cost effective legal documents at a fraction of the price found on the high street and now draftsmen too can tap into this very lucrative market at the click of a button”, adds Taylor.

You can start earning income from your documents immediately by registering with Net Lawman at http://www.netlawman.co.uk/nlm/law_professional.php. Terms and conditions apply. Please ensure you read the FAQ’s section of the Net Lawman site thoroughly before proceeding.

About Net Lawman

Net Lawman Ltd is an English company operated by Andrew R. Taylor. Most legal work is undertaken by Andrew and Rajeev Goswami, assisted by English barristers for employment specialist work, and Rajeev’s small team of Indian lawyers, as required

Andrew has a degree in economics and was an English solicitor for over 20 years. He resigned voluntarily as a solicitor in order to operate Net Lawman with unrestricted advertising. He has specialised primarily in commercial and company law. Working in a high street practice, he has covered a wide range of law. During that time, he has also been involved as a director and shareholder in a number of businesses, principally connected with commercial property or the Internet.

The documents provided by Net Lawman have been drawn by Andrew and a small team of specialist solicitors and barristers. The documents are regularly updated to take account of new law.

The Net Lawman service is designed to fill a gap between on the one hand the mass of “contractual” letters and messages produced by every business every day with confidence and on the other hand those cases where solicitor help is essential.

Net Lawman legal advice is provided on a “no liability” basis. The business is not regulated by The Law Society.
