International Search Summit speakers to give tips on effective international search strategies to fight the recession

November 11th, 2009

There is less than two weeks left to secure a place at the International Search Summit SEO on 19th November in London, where leading speakers from the global search field will be sharing their tips for beating the recession through international search.WebCertain-Globe

Taking place at the British Library, the one-day event organised by multilingual web marketing agency WebCertain will cover the most pertinent topics in global search and provide delegates with useful advice on how to get the most out of international campaigns.

Topics on the agenda include international keyword research, universal search, global brand reputation management, content management for international websites and optimising for Baidu. The sessions are all aimed at international marketers, struggling with the challenges and complexities involved in launching and running campaigns in multiple markets.

WebCertain’s Andy Atkins-Krüger says,” International search is increasingly important for businesses that want to grow and expand, as domestic markets don’t always offer the best opportunities. ICANN’s recent decision to allow non-Latin characters to appear in domain names just emphasises how global the web is, and marketers must react to this.

“This Summit has a very strong speaker line-up. These are people who really understand international search, and their knowledge and experience could prove invaluable to delegates as they try to guide their organisations through the recession.”

Speakers at the International Search Summit SEO include Bill Hunt, Global Search thought-leader and author, Peter Maxmin, Bing’s Director of Search for EMEA, Massimo Burgio, Global Search Interactive and SEMPO, Bas van den Beld, Editor of SearchCowboys.com and Anne Kennedy, Founder of Beyond Ink and global search speaker. The full round-up of speakers and sessions can be found on the website.

Tickets for the event can still be purchased, costing £495. This is the fourth international search summit to be held at the British Library in London.

Multilingual search agency offers trial of international keyword research service

September 28th, 2009

WebCertain, a multilingual search marketing agency, is offering organisations the opportunity to trial its newly launched international keyword research service KeywordFluency.

The system has been developed specifically for international projects and is compatible with all the major global search engines and character sets, enabling WebCertain’s team of native speakers to rapidly find the most relevant and appropriate keywords for your SEO, PPC and Social Media campaigns.

Until the end of October, WebCertain is offering a trial price of just £99 on the first language to allow organisations to get a feel for the service and the reports it generates. A sample report is available to download.

The bespoke technology has been developed in-house to improve and enhance the keyword research process in 44 of the major web languages and it provides comprehensive reports, which are consistent across all languages and projects.

Andy Atkins-Krüger, Managing Director at WebCertain says, “Quality, relevant keyword research is the foundation of any successful online campaign, but many organisations struggle to carry out the research in multiple languages. The common misconception that just translating keywords into the required languages is enough, leads many organisations to target irrelevant and inappropriate keywords.

“KeywordFluency is ideal for agencies, or organisations, who have the in-house knowledge to run search campaigns, but lack the linguistic resources to develop international campaigns”.

Organisations do not have to commit to fixed-term contracts, and can work a language-by-language, project-by-project basis making it a flexible and cost-effective service.

Use International Search to beat the recession – it works for Google!

September 1st, 2009

Businesses are being advised to target international markets, especially those already exiting the recession, in order to drive sales and growth.

Figures released by Google this week have shown that Google’s financial performance is being particularly bolstered by markets other than the US and UK – two countries which have not yet shown many signs of economic recovery. Google’s growth in international markets has been five times faster in 2009 than in 2008 and five times faster than in the US this year. The search giant has actually seen a decline of 8% in the UK.

Multilingual Search Marketing Agency WebCertain is advising search marketers to follow Google’s example and target the more buoyant global markets, where there is more opportunity to make money.

Andy Atkins-Krüger, Managing Director of WebCertain, recommends using keyword research to determine which markets show the most demand for a product and service, and therefore offer the most potential.

“By tapping into local search data, marketers can get a good understanding of what internet users are really searching for, and how they are searching for it. Organisations can use this information to tailor their campaigns and communications to the most relevant markets, and the most popular search terms, leading to improved ROI and higher sales.

As well as enabling businesses to reassess their strategies, the keyword research will also serve as the foundation for any online campaigns, be it SEO, PPC or Social Media.

“By building search campaigns based on keyword research, which has been conducted and verified by native speakers of each language, marketers will ensure they are driving quality and relevant visitors to their websites, who are more likely to convert”.

UK based Web Marketing Company Takes Global Social Media Training to Spain

September 1st, 2009

WebCertain, a UK based multilingual web marketing agency, is taking part in Search Congress Valencia on 1st-2nd October. Search Congress, which also took place in Barcelona in January is an event organised specifically for the Spanish market focusing on all aspects of search marketing.

The Congress offers a mixture of conference sessions, workshops and networking events and some of the leading Spanish search marketing agencies will be delivering sessions, alongside Google, Yahoo! and leading Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia.

WebCertain will be delivering a workshop on Global Social Media which will combine techniques and suggestions for building successful social media campaigns, with analysis and discussion on the most effective social media channels in different markets around the world.

Giving the workshop will be WebCertain’s Client Development Manager Ana Leckenby, a native Mexican with extensive experience in running online campaigns for multinational companies in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Ana says, “As an international agency, WebCertain regularly attends and speaks at conferences around the world, but this is our first in Spain. The calibre of speakers and attendees, as well as the range of search marketing topics being covered is very appealing and we hope that our global perspective and experience will add an extra dimension to the event.”

The Search Congress will be held at The Oceangraphic in Valencia and around 500 delegates are expected each day. More information on the event and booking information can be found at www.search-congress.com (the website is only available in Spanish).
